It is. I saw this guy twice while in St. Paul. Two days prior to this, he was near some of the infamous "anarchists." When I was walking past on the sidewalk, he stepped forward, looked right at me, put his hands together and bowed. I was so struck by his contrast with the crowd. I stopped and bowed in return. Neither of us said a word. I couldn't get the guy out of my head.
Then as I was walking around taking some pics two days later, and there he was again. Looking right at me, from about 50 yards away. He was in back of some teeshirt barkers, and I just walked up more closely and took this picture, nodded and left.
His gaze never wavered. His facial expression never changed. I thought about speaking with him, but had this feeling that breaking the silence would somehow ruin it.

What's that guy holding in the second picture? It looks like a peace sign with runes on it.
